HBO has badly hurt my vision, which does not seem to be improving two weeks after my last dive.. Yesterday I visited my optometrist and learned that my distance prescription had doubled and still cannot be corrected to 20/20, leading to the conclusion that the 40 dives caused my cataracts to "ripen", requiring cataract surgery. I did order some plain (inexpensive) distance lenses which the optometrist put in old frames of mine so I can drive safely until I get the surgery, but since I did not order bi-focals, I have to put on my old pair in order to read or use the computer, or do anything up close, including eating.
Oh well, this too will pass, and from what I hear, vision can greatly improve once the lenses are replaced in the cataract surgery.
