I also from NJ, Trenton to be precise. I'd try to push to get the results ASAP. Waiting is such a drag. In the meantime, read this site and anything else you can to get you informed. It ain't cancer until they tell but the better informed you are when get a dx, the more cabable you are of making decisions for treatment. Fortunately, NJ puts you in easy distance from several major cancer centers. Make certain you go to one of them and some even have outpatint facilities for radiation.

Hope it is nothing and you just have careful dentist.
