Like Michelle, I've been quite happy with my most recent obturator, which is part metal and part plastic. It fits perfectly, allows for easy speaking and eating (save some nose leakage, which I'm pretty sure is inevitable). I had many small adjustments made before this one made the grade -- but it can be done! Hang in there and don't settle for less than what you really want. Best of luck-
