The hole from the trach can take a few weeks to fully close. Since you had radiation before, it may take a little longer to heal than if you had not had radiation. If its taking more than a month then I suggest seeing your doc about it. There are wound care specialists who can help with all kinds of procedures and different treatments to help heal stubborn wounds.
