Joined: Mar 2003 Posts: 1,384 Likes: 1 | WD, some of us felt better within days of the end of radiation. It is possible that she will too. It sounds like she is doing quite well so far. As far as pain is concerned I really think that most adults can decide for themselves when they need pain management. In my opinion you need not push the issue unless you see a problem.

Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
