A full recovery can take 2 years. Most OC patients are considerably better after about the 6 month post rads point. Even at 3 months post rads alot of patients are doing pretty good and working to return to their old lives. Everything will become easier as time goes on. We all respond in our own unique ways to treatments and medications. Your husband can help speed up his recovery thru good nutrition including high protein powder to help heal. I can tell you that mouth sores can be extremely painful. Rinsing with 16 oz warm water, 2 tsp baking soda and 2 tsp salt will help his mouth to heal.
