Thank you so much to Anita for pointing John in the direction of an oral surgeon who actually knows A LOT about oral cancer, treatments, recovery and the aftermath of treatments. Dr. Carrasco is a University of Penn doctor. John has had a "sore" on the back of his tongue that hasn't healed and has been there since the beginning of April. He has been seen by his dentist, ENT and an oral surgeon who basically said to keep an eye on it. John got a 2nd opinion by Dr. Carrasco who was referred to us by Anita. Dr. Carrasco seems to really knows his stuff. John felt so confident with this new doctor's abilities and knowledge.

John will be having the "sore" removed tomorrow. I'm nervous but know that it shouldn't be there and confident with the surgeon who is doing the procedure. Prayers, good thoughts, good vibes etc. appreciated that this is not cancer.

John doesn't like me sharing his medical issues with people so I am once again so thankful as a Caregiver that I have this site to come to and vent, ask for help and share what I can.

Thank you so much Anita for suggesting Dr. Carrasco.
