Thanks for the info. I don't know what to make of this whole "tight neck thing" - but WZ, I hear where you're coming from. John also has that same uncomfortable feeling under his neck besides the tight/hard feeling - kind of like a ball stuck in the throat feeling. It's hard for me to describe exactly what he's feeling - but I do my best to visualize how that must feel internally for him. I just know that his throat is rock hard as can be...and like everyone else, I thought it would get somewhat better by now! The doc, as I mentioned is not concerned about this, but it's so frustrating for both of us. I know this definitely effects his intake of food and what kind of food he eats, but thankfully - at least all those doggone mouth sores have gone away! (those pesky things seemed to linger forever). Anyways, it's comforting to know that John isn't the only one still experiencing this problem, and perhaps one day - maybe the lymphatic system will finally find it's new "route"! (gotta keep hope alive). I think also what makes it worse for John is that he had the surgery AFTER the radiation (and chemo) which I'm sure toughened up the area/tissue of the neck. I hope things get better for you both and WZ, if your ENT comes up with any "revelations" on how to handle this - do share!! Take care.
