Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 188 | What a difference a year makes. Dad's mets are barely visible now and have been controlled orally with Lapatinib, part of the CapLap clinical trial he's on. The challenges of this year, pneumonia, anemia, infection, all that-- and he's still in pretty good health and kickin it daily. We are so blessed in a twisted sort of way.

CG to Dad. Biopsy 5/11 non-op, SCC stage IV poorly dif at base of tongue with nodes, quit smoking in '85, ChemoRad began 8/2/11 ended 9/22/11 with NED. Distant mets 11/11, clinical trials. War raging on!
