Hi guys, Its been a while that I dont post here. Im doing fine, eating normally and talking as I can. Not as before but people understands me. I talk as a "country girl" as we talk in Brazil.

Well, I have a question for the only reason thats bothering me. I know it can be worse, but I want to talk about it.

I didnt had any flaps or reconstruction. My doctor made what he call primary closure, which means that my tongue were closed with my own tongue.

My lesion was small 0.5 X 0.7 X 0.63 depth. However I lost 2 X 3cm of my tongue, wich means its shorter now.

My issue is that I can pass my tongue through my teeth or through my whole oral cavity. Its making me crazy! frown

This happen to you too? Do you have this sensation? Its kinda claustrophobic! frown

December, 2011 - T1N0M0 SSC Oral Tongue sugery (Dec 07, 2011). Partial glossectomy, primary closure. Selective Neck dissection, all 57 nodes free. 29 at diagnosis, no risk factors at all. No smoking, drinking and HPV negative. Can you explain? I can't.
