Time for an update. It's been an "eventful" couple of weeks, to be sure. After two serious infections in three weeks that resulted in hospital stays for treatment, I wound up there again yesterday...this time with bleeding from my ear that wouldn't stop.
They got that under control; the bone spur that has done so much damage already is back at it...it's penetrated even further and managed to rip up some tissue it hasn't already destroyed.

Sigh...

Better news today though. The scans that were done last week, along with the tests they've done throughout the last month have all returned with results. They've made their way to my surgical team in Calgary, and I got a call this morning to set up another visit with them, hopefully moving towards the "big day" when they will finally be able to fix the damn thing once and for all.

Plus, I had a bit of panic yesterday that the bleeding had destroyed the new, rediculously expensive hearing aid I'd just gotten a month ago. A trip to the audiologist today and a quick swap out of parts, and we're good to go again.

Anyway, that's it, for now. Hopefully more positive news to come soon
