OP Supporting Member (50+ posts) Joined: Dec 2010 Posts: 99 | Emmett started to complain about his jaw and ear hurting several weeks ago along with increased throat drainage, we chalked it up to the weather and an increase in moving his jaw as he is taking all his food by mouth now instead of using his peg which is scheduled to be removed Dec. 20th. The pain seems to be intensifing and more consistant. I know he is lonely right now as I have been away from him (see post under "caregiver") and am concerned everything is magnified when he feels down but I am getting worried. His next Dr. appt is on the 20th should we wait until then or not? Is it a sign of a possible reoccurance or damage rearing it's head from treatment that ended 12/10? I have searched this site and know it could be that but I am worried - has anyone else experienced this? I am experiencing guilt that I am here and not with him. But if I leave my niece, she has no one either and she is having a difficult time too. Thanks for letting me dump.
