For the last few months a new resident, feisty at best, has been coming to my Council meetings asking question after question after question and has been complaining about everything. Well this past Saturday I was outside our Lions Club building and out she and her husband walk. We begin talking and talking and talking and I'm trying to explain to her the how best to get her point across to Council, i.e., honey vs. vile and as she was getting ready to leave she says "I've got to get my husband home, he has cancer". I asked what kind of cancer? and he said THROAT CANCER. BOT primary, mets to a node, non smoker. I pulled out my Oral Foundation name card and gave them my quick 15 minute speech on his Tx, etc and now we are best buddies.

Cancer, the gift that keeps on giving!
