I have almost normal swallowing after radiation. Every one has different long term effects from radiation but I believe you have a reasonable chance to regain that function.
On a personal note I find it really neat that we are able to communicate across the entire globe to share our concerns.
As far as veggies go, those with the most color are the best Take care
Mark, 21 Year survivor, SCC right tonsil, 3 nodes positive, one with extra-capsular spread. I never asked what stage (would have scared me anyway) Right side tonsillectomy, radical neck dissection right side, maximum radiation to both sides, no chemo, no PEG, age 40 when diagnosed.
