You know, honestly I can't remember now! I know it hurt for a while, but I do think there was some pain at two months. What's interesting about it to me now is that my tongue changes continually as far as appearance, how it feels, etc. This summer I was having problems tolerating anything super cold, which I expected, not so now. So I'd say it is continually improving. I did not have a lot of tongue removed, about 1/4. And then of course radiation.

Any pain I have now is really minor. I was told to watch for increasing pain/soreness, and ulcers that appear (of course!)

I think what you are describing sounds ok for this point. Check with your medical team if it gets worse, or worries you.
