When they gave me the Benadryl at the beginning, my arm broke out in hives. The nurses were really perplexed. It wound up being no big deal. They gave me some steroids and some other medicine to counteract allergic reaction and I was still able to get my infusion. The hives were completely gone by the time I left. Doc said no more Benadryl for me.
