Maybe I'll pick some up now again. The sugar issue is something to think about for sure but I'd think that in small doses and with all the rest of the dental care we all do (Biotene paste and mouthwash and nightly fluoride trays for me)it should be ok.
My dentist cousin recommended that I chew "tons of gum with Xylitol". Well, I don't chew tons since I don't really enjoy chewing gum... but I do keep it on hand for dog walks. The one with the most Xylitol according to the label seems to be Trident Xtra Care so that's the one I buy. I know that Biotene makes a gum too but it seems kind of expensive.
I did invest in some Xylitol candy, it's called Sparx and you can find it online. Not especially tasty... hard little balls that just taste kind of sweet. But I assume it's doing me some good.
There's also "Rain" spray with Xylitol that I bought online as well and always forget to use! Oh well.
Thanks for the reminder on the Crunch, Jennifer.
