Hi Dianne........Can you tell me a bit more about Progressive Radiation Disease? I have never heard of it before. Does it specifically envolve the nerves in and around the neck area? Do you have limited range of motion? Does physical thearpy help at all? I have never heard of this before. If it is a progressive disease what are the supposed end results? I'm quite sure I don't suffer from this, and hopefully I never will; however, I am curious about the disease since I've never heard of it.....or maybe I've had my head in the sand and just didn't want to hear about it. SCC first time 1989, with a diagnoses of 'cancer in situ' removed lesion, no other treatments. SCC recurrence 1997 of tongue and floor of the mouth. Stage III /IV Hemmiglossectomy (removed over 60% of tongue/ floor of the mouth), free flap, modified neck, RAD and Chemo(cisplatin, 5fu) simutainously. Cancer free 6, yes, six, years!
