After struggling with a cold, I fell back onto an old standbye, the Neti Pot. I know its popular with Dr. Oz and Oprah now, but my wife and I have been using it for twenty years. I stopped about three years ago with the cancer TX but the mucous and sinus pain was so much with this cold, I went back to it.
It worked. The reason I'm posting this is that when I saw my ENT last week and she reviewed the images in my MRI, she noted that it showed I had had a cold but that it looked much better than she would have expected. I mentioned the Neti pot and she urged me to start doing it daily. She has seen great results with her patients. I have noticed a nice difference also, with an improvement in the flow of the mucous (easier to spit out instead of it choking me) and no pain in the sinus area.

Wiki- neti pot Everyone is different and it may not help anyone, but it did for me so thought I'd share. When I did a search on the forum, only one post on NetiPot came up and that was in the context that it was too difficult for people. Nonsense. All you do is tilt your head, the rest happens automatically.
