For all you 'over-ponders' and newbies--oh and Helen! :p
After years of touring/towing with a little 'mobile home' (about an eighth of an American RV), eek this year, in January, I bought a bigger van on my 'favourite' site at Beverley, just 8 miles up the road.
8 days after I bought it, I had my first cancer symptoms--numb lip--and by the time I was actually going there to enjoy it from Easter, had intensely painful swollen jaw, men with little knives inside lip and a horrible feeling I might only have a few weeks to enjoy it!
The rest is history - I got an initial diagnosis of jaw carcinoma, hideous surgery suggested, then CT scan showed lung was Primary--Thank Goodness for the cancellation of surgery!
My diary shows I took it 'One week at a time'--pessimistically (SP??)
And now, here I am, still alive and kicking, having enjoyed a whole season of weekends at my 'van'.
And I may even go up there again in a couple of weeks to plant some bulbs in my tubs for Spring!
Sorry, just needed to post that!
