The day after Christmas I felt a swelling in the left side of my gum above my chin. By Wednesday I was in considerable pain and starting to "Look over my shoulder." I opted for my dentist first (They all know my entire story). After X-rays I was told I had a dying nerve in a capped tooth and needed a root canal. I laughed and looked at the assistant saying "I bet you don't see too many people excited over a root canal?" So, after some antibiotics and the swelling went down, root canal happened yesterday which was a piece of cake (Except for them trying to keep my mouth pryed open as the wedges were even too large, thank goodness it was in the front). All smiles (As well as I can).

What a relief that was all there was (I had just had a 6 Month with my RO three weeks ago). Has anyone on the boards had something similar and the long term outcome (I do understand all outcomes will differ)? My dentist seemed very pleased with the ease of procedure!
