Both Gary and I had the "3 big bag" method of Cisplatin, usually the 1st day of rad, the 16th day and the last day of rad. This used to be the ONLY way Cisplatin was administered. Recently some MO's have switched to a "weekly smaller bag" delivery method with the hopes (as there is no study to back it up) that the smaller more frequent doses will have the same clinical effect while reducing the potential for the known adverse side effects. Based solely upon the posts of those on this site that have gotten this approach, it seems to reduce the side effects.
