One of our own dentists in this town was going to come out and help do screenings, but between the time we initially asked and now he has had a recurrence, and is not doing well. So he was not able to be there. It saddens me. Many of my friends came out and got the screenings. I had asked them if their dentists ever performed a screening like that and I was shocked that all of them said no. It just goes to show that awareness need to happen. The clinic that helped out, sent a letter to all the dentists in the area, and we only got a few responses. I now know who the dentists are that I can go to if I ever need any help, especially if my dentist is unavailable.
