Keep your head up, and try to keep yourself busy. I also had bad news with a hot PET scan, but a negative biopsy. I also read a recent post from Bloop19. She has a lump which turned out to be scar tissue. Although these stories are not yours, maybe yours will also have a positive outcome. Like you, I am a teacher, so I know your initial thoughts may be about how to juggle possible new treatments and the students. Don't worry, it will all work out. Like another person told me, "It ain't cancer til they say it's cancer!" Hang tough! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

Teacher aged 48, SCC Left side and floor of Tongue, Dx December, 2009. Stage II T2 N0 M0 Successful partial glossectomy surgery with thigh flap and neck dissection 3/8/10. 6 weeks of radiation tx ended 6/30/10. Happily surviving!
