Hi All,

Just thought I would share a nice gesture that happened this past weekend. I won a radio contest to recieve guitar lessons from Synyster Gates of Avenged Sevenfold (a rock band) who both myself and my 16 year old son love. They were in Atlanta with several other bands at the Uproar Festival. there were probably 15,000 in attendance at the concert. Early in the day we were escorted back to the bands tour bus where my son received the lessons and we took some photo's... etc.

I had taken an extra OCF bracelett to give Synyster. When the lesson was over and we were headed out I pulled out the bracelett and gave it to him explaining that I had battled cancer this year and beat it and that I wanted him to have the bracelett.

In the back of my mind I was thinking he would probably just throw it on the table and not think of it again. To my surprise as I looked up on the jumbo screen beside the stage he was wearing the bracelett onstage. I wish I could have gotten a picture but it is hard to take a picture with that kind of detail from a cell phone.

It really meant alot to me that this heavy metal rocker with Tattoo's and piercings everywhere would do something that meant so much to me. He probably doesnt even realize how good it made me feel to know he did this. Sometimes all it takes is a little gesture of kindness to brighten someones day.

Just wanted to share this positive experience with my friends who can relate to what Oral Cancer really means.
