docs can be very silly. I wish you both well on his healing journey. I had it in my tongue and they removed half my tongue and 40 lymph nodes from my neck. I am about a month and a half out from radiation and feeling a bit better, but still a lot of healing a head of me. I was a lot like your husband, only younger. Genetics has a lot to do with this disease too. I was 25 when diagnosed and they claimed genetic predisposition to be my cause. Hope all is well with him now and that he is healing up well. First scans after all treatments are the things to look forward to, mine is in mid october. Does he have one set yet? Usually they do it 90 days after rad and chemo are done.
