Joined: Apr 2009 Posts: 329 | I started with my Dentist the first part of Jan, he said, lets wait and see, back again at the end of January lets try steriods, I was told it looks like cancer the 1st of Feb by a different Dentist. I had to wait 2 weeks to have the consult with the Oral Surgeon, then it was a week to have the biopsy, then a week for the results, then a week to see the ENT, then a week for the CAT/PET Scan it went on and on until the Radiation Oncologist got me in to Moffitt Cancer Center the first of April and surgery 2 weeks later. If I knew then what I know now this would have never happened.
See a different Oral Surgeon ASAP.
SCC. of the left lateral tongue, anterior two thirds, T1 possibly a T2.
Left partial glossectomy, left selective neck dissection 4/21/09. Nodes clean, No Rad, No Chemo.
CT Scan 9/11 clean, CT Scan 9/12 clean
Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, FL. A+.
