Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 157 | I too am worried about my career after my operation, I have been a technician for Dodge, now Mercedes Benz for the last 7 years or so. It is an extremely stressful job and requires a bunch of brain storming and " what if's?". My surgery is September 16th and really have no Idea what to expect,never had major surgery before. They are removing my tongue tumor and both sides of my neck lymph nodes, So I dont know what kind of physical condition I will be in after all this. I hope everything works out for you and your family, nobody deserves this,nobody....

SCC left lateral tongue, left neck dissection. 2 nodes positive. 3 All Clear then ITS BACK 8/23/11 Shows 1cm in tongue in CT SCAN, Radial Free Arm Flap with Radical Neck Dissection 9/20/11 , All Nodes Negative, But Tongue Tumor Poorly Differentiated. Awaiting next step in treatment on 10/5/11... RIP Nate 7/28/12
