I was on antibiotics for about 2 months and it didnt work to cure the infection. My doc then sent me to an ifectious disease specialist who put a picc line in. Im on IV antibiotics which are alot stronger than what I was on before. It has worked and the infection is gone and my wound has healed.
Palm, sorry but I dont know what happens with the reconstructive surgeries. Everyone is different and has slightly different areas being worked on. Look for posts from Anita who's husband recently went thru reconstruction. Best of luck to your father in law.
