Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | I have lived for 3 years eating patmeal, and very watery foods and the requiew water to go down. A 2inch piece of chicken woult ne like a bamquet. She'll do fine eating this way. I think my days of food are over and I'm not allowed to get any dentures because of a nasty mouth that can't even move anything around. It's good that she has a good caregiver in you. Make her quit those smokes for sure and I have no idea about the booze.
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
