To cut a long story short it's benign....thank goodness.The past few weeks have been an absolute nightmare and everybody who's replied to my posts I can't thank you enough you have helped me more than you will " ever " realise. Basically it was a capillary haemangioma and the surgeon has said he does not need to remove the lump either.
If there's one thing I've learnt from this forum is I now have an awareness of oral cancer which I was blind to before and will pass my knowledge on to friends and family.

Mri on pituitary - incidental mid line tongue lesion found Referred to ENT surgeon Suspects Lingual Thyroid sent for 123 iodine scan - said dont need surgery or biopsy. Follow up:Not a lingual thyroid, now have to have a tongue biopsy on Monday 15th March 2010. Get the results Monday 30th March 2010
