Marvin went in for his 3 month check up today. They did a scope of his throat and things looked good. They said he still have alot of swelling but everything else looked okay. He still isnt able to return to work (which he was hoping to be able to)because he works in factory maintance. They said they didnt want him in the plant because of all the fumes and dirt ect.. this was the first I have heard of this stuff bothering the healing process. But they said it would be hard on his vocal cords and areas. So unless he can get a light duty job that puts him in the office areas for a time he will be off work until at least end of sept. His short term disablity pay stops close to the end of Aug. If he gets to go on long term the only real drawback is that we have to pick up the cost of the insurance which will be high. So we are hoping that they may find something for him to do in the office. One I think it will make him feel better to get back to work as long as it isnt to draining on him. He goes in next tuesday for his pet scan. I am praying it comes back with good news for us.
