Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 624 | David is correct, most oral cancers caused by HPV are HPV-16, some are HPV-18 and a few, other "high-risk" strains. Thus Gardisil would probably help and I know Dr. Gillison and her colleagues think so, since they say so in their May New England J. of Medicine paper on HPV and head/neck cancer. Gail
