Hi,
I have a biopsy on my tongue to diagnose what the lesion is on my tongue and thought you would like to see my MRI scan report to see what you think and if anybody had any idea what it "could" be?

Here goes:

There is a midline solid enhancing lesion within the tongue which measures 2.8 x 2.2 x 3.0cm. The aetiology of this lesion is uncertain but it definitely requires clinical evaluation. A possible cause of midline lesions is a lingual thyroid, but this lesion is actually within the substance of the tongue rather than situated directly posterior to it. An abnormality arising in accessory salivary tissue is a possibility.

Incidental inflammatory polyps are seen in the maxillary antra.

Thanks for reading and hope someody can help
