Thanks for your kind words with regard to my dad. As for SSI or SSDI, it is very difficult to get on both these days. I am an attorney and SSDI is one of my areas of practice. Unfortunatley, due to the economy, everyone is trying to get on. The wait period from initial application to hearing or notice of award is approaching 2 years. Frankly, this is terrible for a worthy applicant. I suggest that anyone with OC contact their US Senator or Congressman and ask if they can write a letter on their behalf to expedite process.
