The radiation will likely cause the hair on the back of your neck to fall out but it should return (my did) but it takes a while. All my whiskers fell out towards the end of rad and only the ones above my chin line returned so I will never have to shave below my chin line. Only good thing about my rad. IMRT (Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy) is designed to limit the damage to our good cells but still will damage some reaching the targeted area and exiting the target area. We also can experience scatter radiation damage. Gary is our resident radiation expert so maybe he will expand on what I have just said.

Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.
