Don't let them bully you into donating to the United Way. I don't remember the percentage for fees and fund rasing, but it is very high. Personally, I doubt that a dime would go to OCF since it is not one of normal charities. Even if you want to support the charities United Way supports, do it directly to the charity so the charity gets the full amount. I hate it when employers do this. I once had one tell me that I wouldn't get a raise unless I donated the United Way. Quite illegal. I told them there was no way I was donating through the United Way. I still got the raise. You have no reason to fell guilty.
