When I first discovered my swollen lumps in my neck I was given a 3 week course of antibiotics and they shrank about 50% and the CANCER doctor shook my hand and said " Congratulations, you DON'T HAVE CANCER!!!" He did prescribe another 3 weeks of antibiotics and told me they had to shrink all the way down. Fortunately for me my nagging persistent wife tricked me into seeing an ENT the very next day and he did a FNA and it was confirmed SCC.
