Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 5,260 | Barry, maybe you should put the beer away with the smokes. I gave up smoking when I found out I had OC and this was after 50 yrs of smoking. I wasn't a drinker but would have quit that too, I been in the OR so much I can give numbers of screws in the ceiling. THe best you can do is listen to the Drs. As I sit here now, I can't put anything in my mouth thicker than oatmeal and try to swallow it. Give it your best and beat this stuff. Jim
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
