Hey Charm,
I'm taking this one step at a time right now. If they are able to open my esophagus then I will try very, very hard to start swallowing. I am familiar with vital stim and will try it if the exercises fail. I am watching your updates closely for results of the vital stim program.
I don't understand why the 14fr is your largest option?
I am lucky with the 20fr, for sure.
My heart is with you and willing you success with the swallowing.
My treatment regimen right now is focused on nutrition. My chemo and radiation have been concluded since April 2008. If you are interested in the nutrition plan I can email you the spread sheet. My dietitian is working with a group in Oregon that specializes in cancer recovery.
I have an exercise program from swallowing therapy that is very rigorous (pain in the butt). I will get back on this program only if the dilation is successful.
Thank you for the link.
I am planning on being a scotch guzzling alcoholic if the dilation is a success.
