Dr. Sheehan's calm and steady demeanor gave us hope when we were in our most hopeless state. During the six week treatment period, Earl and I met with him every Friday after the radiation appointment. The time spent with him in the examination room was very comforting. Because Earl could not speak and had to write everything on a clipboard, I always attended the appointments. Watching Dr. Sheehan palpate Earl's neck area each week gave me such hope. He was a great healer. My mind was so focused in those days that I still remember watching his hands and thinking that that he cared very deeply for his patients. I am eternally grateful for having known him and I know that Earl feels much the same.
