Paula, so sorry to here the results and we will keep you and your husband in our thoughts and prayers.

I don't mean to lead this in a different direction but PET scan results have been on my mind a lot lately. The doctors that we see rely heavily on the PET/CT results. From what I have read here on different posts, I think some people question the reliability of the PET/CT. I know in my wife's case all the PETs have gone in the same direction with increases in size and activity until this week showing some stability. My question is, before agreeing to stop the chemo from PET results, is there some other way we should be asking to get a second opinion/test on the best course of action?

Again, I don't mean to question what your doctor has suggested, it is just that I have always believed in the PET results and have just started now, a year into treatment to question the validity.
