Cancer treatment is basically bombard your body with as much toxins and radiation just short of killing the patient. Each person has a unique threshold so you can't worry about how much in absolute terms, just that he is receiving the maximum treatment while balance off the short and long term side effects. Take comfort he is receiving great care and not try to second guess doctors. Good luck.
