I don't follow Katie Couric, like all other celebrities too, but she had cancer herself, I think someone in her family passed as well from cancer, and hear Katie Couric advocates for cancer often, and even had a show on last year on different cancer survivors, including oral cancer, which day I was supposed to be in the studio audience, but the snow canceled our plans, so I don't know what this turn around is all about.

It was her husband who died of colon cancer, and the gastrointestinal research at New York Presbyterian Hospital is named in his honor. The TV episode I was referring had Dr. Marshall Posner, a head and neck specialist at Mount Sinai, who deals with HPV was on with an actress whose husband died of oral cancer.
