Hello. I was around and in treatment not long after the OCF began. I am doing extremely well. I was recently reminded of something that is very important to anyone undergoing radiation. Even if you are eating via PEG, it is very important to open your mouth WIDE several times EVERY day. Nobody told me about this and now I cannot eat a sandwich and need to cut my food up in small pieces. This is not terrible as I still enjoy most everything, but if you want to bite into a juicy hamburger, OPEN, OPEN, OPEN! Just heard from a guy who I nagged about this, and he thanked me when he ate at Subway for the first time post treatment. So, remember, OPEN, OPEN, OPEN!

I would say continue this even after treatment, but not near as often. If I do not do regular mouth exercises, my mouth will get tight and hard for me to open very far. It does loosen up during thre day, but it sure takes awhile.
