My husband's cousin had a stem cell transplant and month long stay at City of Hope several years ago. She has had clear scans since then. She said the facility and staff were awesome. I hope you and you Mom have the same kind of experience there...and the same results!

We don't have any Tours here in Fl. Probably because the only mountains we have are speed bumps.

Age 58 at Dx, HPV16+ SCC, Stage IV BOT+2 nodes, non smoker, casual drinker, exercise nut, Cisplatin x 3 & concurrent IMRT x 35,(70 Gy), no surgery, no Peg, Tx at Moffitt over Aug 06. Jun 07, back to riding my bike 100 miles a wk. Now doing 12 Spin classes and 60 outdoor miles per wk. Nov 13 completed Hilly Century ride for Cancer, 104 miles, 1st Place in my age group. Apr 2014 & 15, Spun for 9 straight hrs to raise $$ for YMCA's Livestrong Program. Certified Spin Instructor Jun 2014.

Thanks Diane. I feel really good about CoH.

My mom is going to CoH on Tuesday ... her paperwork has been sent and things are rolling. They have been very responsive.

I'm about 10 miles from the highest point in Florida. If I remember right its about 150 ft above sea level. Not much more than a speed bump for sure.

40 yr old. Stage IV SCC found left tonsil. PET/CT shows cancer on base of tongue, floor of mouth, lymph nodes on both sides. HPV 16 pos. 6 weeks of cisplatin, 43 days of radiation. 73gy on each side.
