If you could please spare a moment and say a quick prayer for me, I would greatly appreciate it. I have my scan tomorrow morning and will see the drs on Monday. I'm not nervous at all, rather peaceful about it but I am alittle anxious about the IV contrast since I no longer have my central line, I better get someone that gives me a good IV!LOL
Dx 3/27/09 @ 28 years old with High Grade MEC T4N2M0 Elizabeth, 33, mother of 3 girls (4,7, &8yrs old) 3 rds of chemo(Carbo/Taxol) Rt Mandibulectomy, rt fibular flap,& rt ND with trach, picc,& g-tube. 30 rds of rads with weekly cisplatin SCANS ALL CLEAR! OCF Regional Coordinator of San Antonio Walk

The last one that put the line in for a CtScan, left me with many purple spots. From the back of my hand to my elbow. Ouch
Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April. --- Passed away 5/14/14, will be greatly missed by everyone here

Female, nonsmoker, 70, diag. 5/09 after tongue biopsy: stage IV. Left hemi-gloss. and left selec. neck disec. 30 lymph nodes removed May 20. Over 7 weeks daily rads. with three chemo. PEG removed 12/4/09 Am eating mostly soft foods. Back to work 11/09 Retired 4/1/11. 7 clear scans! Port out 9/11. 2/13. It's back: base of tongue, very invasive surgery involving lifestyle changes. 2/14: Now speaking w/Passey-Muir valve. Considering a swallow study. Grateful to be alive.

If you get them within the first 24 hours, the attack is usually under control. Never wait to call the doctor on this. A full blown attack can be extremely painful.

I finished my tests today, all went well, on to tomorrow when I get the results and see all the drs!
