Time for my next follow up CT scan. If you could please spare a moment and say a quick prayer for me, I would greatly appreciate it. I have my scan tomorrow morning and will see the drs on Monday. I'm not nervous at all, rather peaceful about it but I am alittle anxious about the IV contrast since I no longer have my central line, I better get someone that gives me a good IV!LOL

Dx 3/27/09 @ 28 years old with High Grade MEC T4N2M0

3 rds of chemo(Carbo/Taxol)
Rt Mandibulectomy, rt fibular flap,& rt ND with trach, picc,& g-tube.
30 rds of rads with weekly cisplatin

ESikon, I will have you in my prayers in Church this morning. The last one that put the line in for a CtScan, left me with many purple spots. From the back of my hand to my elbow. Ouch

Since posting this. UPMC, Pittsburgh, Oct 2011 until Jan. I averaged about 2 to 3 surgeries a week there. w Can't have jaw made as bone is deteroriating steaily that is left in jaw. Mersa is to blame. Feeding tube . Had trach for 4mos. Got it out April.
--- Passed away 5/14/14, will be greatly missed by everyone here

Just wanted to say I'm thinking of you and hoping for a good outcome.
You have such a good attitude. Stay peaceful and thank you for taking the time to be helpful to me in the middle of everything you are dealing with. Much appreciated.

I hope you are on meds for the shingles. If you get them within the first 24 hours, the attack is usually under control. Never wait to call the doctor on this. A full blown attack can be extremely painful.

Take care,
Eileen
