It all begins today at about noon. First Rad, I originally thought would be getting chemo once every 3 weeks but MD prefers once a week. His thought cuts down on reactions, liver and kidney problems and safeguards hearing. I have received to RX for compazine and one other anti-naiusea medicines.
From what I have read on the forum it takes a couple of weeks for the side effects from Rad to kick in? Is it the same for the Chemo, my understanding is that it is more immediate? Thanks to the forum I was able to understand that removal of lymph nodes will probably take place after the cycle. I wish Onocologist had advised that up front. The reccomedation is to put off feeding tube unless I lose 20lbs.
Nervous about starting but at the same time looking forward to attacking it. How long does it take after chemo treatment for the nausea to subside?
