Gail Mac "Above & Beyond" Member (500+ posts) Joined: Jul 2005 Posts: 624 Silver Spring, Maryland	Tracy -- I also recall they put my mother on digitalis while she was in ICU -- she didn't really have a heart problem but had a slight murmur from a childhood bout with rheumatic fever -- this may also have helped her clear the fluids. I would ask the doctor for help -- what can happen is that an extreme buildup of fluid can damage the lymphatic system so it needs to be looked at. Gail CG to husband Barry, dx. 7/21/05, age 66, SCC rgt. tonsil, BOT, 2 nodes (stg. IV), HPV+, tonsillectomy, 7x carboplatin, 35x tomoTherapy IMRT w/ Ethyol @ Johns Hopkins, thru treatment 9/28/05, HPV vaccine trial 12/06-present. Looking good!
